The 2nd International Science Workshop of Morphodynamics and Socioeconomic Sustainability of Large River Deltas

Held October 15-20, 2017 in Qingdao and Dongying, China

International collaborators from the U.S. (Rice University, Boston College, CalTech, John Hopkins, and the University of Illinois) and China (Tsinghua & Ocean Univeristy) met to discuss delta building dynamics, the role of anthropogenic influence on on deltas, and the socioeconomic impacts of both natural and human-induced processes that influence deltas. The workshop included a trip to the active Yellow River delta where researchers and students visited the densely populated area to investigate how natural delta dynamics and human impacts manifest in delta building.
